Премьер-министр сегодня подтвердил новые временные меры предосторожности после появления варианта Omicron в Великобритании.
Вариант Omicron содержит большое количество мутаций белка-шипа, а также мутаций в других частях вирусного генома. На международном уровне ведется неотложная работа, чтобы полностью понять, как эти мутации могут изменить поведение вируса в отношении вакцин, методов лечения и передачи.
Вакцины остаются нашей лучшей линией защиты. Эксперты по-прежнему уверены, что наши нынешние вакцины обеспечат защиту от нового варианта, но степень этого продолжает изучаться.
Более 16 миллионов человек уже обратились за бустер-инъекциями, и мы стали свидетелями снижения количества госпитализаций и смертей. Всем взрослым, которые еще не получили свою первую или вторую дозу вакцины, или тем, кто имеет право на ревакцинацию, рекомендуется выступить вперед, чтобы помочь защитить себя и других.

Falmouth-Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta 2014

The annual event, which is led by STI, the international voice of Sail Training, attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the globe. It will see around fifty of the world’s most spectacular Tall Ships berthed and open to the public in the historic Queen’s Wharf in Falmouth Docks. From there the race is on, with the Tall Ships setting sail and navigating a series of waypoints to a finish line off the Isle of Wight. The final leg of the journey sees them cruise into Royal Greenwich, wh ere they will be stationed between 5-9 September, marking the first time in 25 years that London has played host to a major International Tall Ships Regatta.
