Busines English Program
| Dear WikiVisa.Ru,|
GV Victoria's Business English Study Opportunities
GV Victoria - All students have academic, professional or personal goals in learning English, but GV Victoria’s Business English students, as current or soon-to-be professionals, are particularly focused on the results of their learning.
Each rotation has specific learning outcomes connected to hands-on, real-world tasks that help students be competitive in the international workplace.
After 12 weeks, Business English students will have gained a set of language skills that enable them to use English with confidence in their day-to-day work. Examples include: writing formal letters, conducting interviews, developing business plans, marketing, and negotiating using natural expressions.
But don’t take our word for it. Here’s Jamile, a current BEP student, on what she has gained fr om the class.

Need Precision and Speed? Consider Taking IELTS
IELTS teachers at GV Vancouver are well-known for their experience and expertise. But how does that translate into student success?
The IELTS Reading test is a good example. One recent graduate named Thomas says, “Originally I thought I didn’t need an IELTS prep course. I thought I could just improve on my reading skill and learn new words on my own. However, I found that my IETLS score didn’t improve. One important skill the IELTS prep course taught me is HOW to evaluate a question before responding to it. Now I can respond to questions more precisely and do it much faster.”
Ultimately, the most important outcome of an IELTS prep course is getting the score you need. And we see our students do this every session. “I'm writing to say thanks to my teacher Aaron and all Global Village staff,” writes Elvis, another recent IELTS grad. “Because the course helped me to achieve the IELTS score I needed on my first try.”

Every course at Global Village Toronto is designed to achieve specific practical learning outcomes. For example, in the General English Program Level GV3, students are trained on how to return an item in a store using appropriate vocabulary. Students who finish Level GV6 will be able to express sympathy using natural expressions and tone of voice. Students completing the Marketing and Advertising Business English Elective will be able to make a pitch presentation, and students training in EAP or IELTS Academic must both achieve the entry requirements for their chosen school and be able to cope with tasks required to succeed at college or university.
Here are a few highlights from Global Village Toronto students who have achieved their learning outcomes and fulfilled one of their life goals:
