Course Materials  

• You will receive your study materials within 5 -10 working days after your booking has been processed.  All study materials are delivered by a courier and someone will need to sign for the materials. You will receive an email from the courier provider as to a date when your materials will be delivered (Please check your junk mail regularly).
• If after 5 working days you have not received your study materials, please contact [email protected].
• Your email address would be sent to the courier provider to enable your materials to be tracked.

Access to Online Classroom

• Your level 2 learning resources are online.
• New users will receive an email from the online classroom with a link and login details within 5 working days to access your learning resources.
• Existing users can continue to use their previous login details.
• You can reset your password using the ‘Forgotten Password’ links on the site if necessary.
• The email address used will be the address you provided upon booking.

Pre-Course Study

It is essential that you pre-read your course materials, if not you may struggle in the classroom sessions. It is recommended that you complete 11 hours private study time outside of the classroom.

The WSET® publish a specification document for each of its qualifications.  Every student undertaking a course of study should read the specification as it contains important information that you need to know about the syllabus and the examination. Examinations

Results: You will receive your results via post 4 weeks after your exam date.

Exam Transfers

• Our exam dates are fixed to all our courses, if you wish to transfer your exam to another date, requests should be made by completing the Resit/Paid Transfer Examination Booking Form https://wsetglobal.com/wset-school-london/student-information/exam-results-and-re-sits/
• Upon completion, please return to [email protected]. An administration fee of £25.00 will be charged if notification is received 10 working days prior to your examination registration deadline. Should notification be received after this deadline then the full examination fee will be payable https://wsetglobal.com/wset-school-london/student-information/exam-results-and-re-sits/ 

Re-sits

Should you fail any examination(s) and wish to re-sit you will need to contact the examinations team at [email protected] to register.

What to bring

• Photo ID: It is a requirement for all students to provide authorised photographic ID (e.g. passport, photographic driving licence or national ID card) when you sit your examination.  Your first name and last/family name must match your photographic ID and must be the original document (photocopies or scanned images will not be accepted). You will be refused entry if you do not have the appropriate identification. If this happens you will have to re-book your exam date, which will incur the full exam fee.
• A copy of your email confirmation (required at your first lecture only)
• Pens and writing materials
• 6 tasting glasses - this is included in the fee and issued on the first day of your course.
• Spittoons, tea towels and drinking water - plastic cups are provided in lecture rooms for spittoon use

Please remember to bring your box of glasses and study materials to all lectures. 

WSET School, London are unable to store glasses for students between lectures.

Cancellations and Transfers

Transfers

• You may transfer a confirmed booking either to another date or another person up to 10 working days before the start of the course on payment of a £25.00 admin fee plus the cost of any additional study materials which may be applicable. Transfers cannot be carried forward to the next academic year or to an alternative Approved Programme Provider (APP).

Cancellation

• Cancellation of a confirmed place(s) are accepted up to 10 working days prior to the start of the course.
• An administration fee of £25.00 will be deducted and the remainder of the course fee will be refunded to the payee minus the cost of the materials.
• If a confirmed course booking is cancelled during the 10 working days prior to the start of the course, or at any time after the start of the course, the course fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another course or to an alternative Approved Programme Provider (APP). 

Missed Course Sessions

• If you are unable to attend a lecture(s), you are advised to use the content available on the Online Classroom to review missed sessions http://www.wsetonlineclassroom.com
• If you wish to sit in on an alternative session, depending upon availability there will be a charge of £30.00 per two-hour session. Please contact the Student Services team to make these arrangements. 

Disability/Reasonable Adjustments Examination Requests 

It is important that you read the pages 16 - 18 of the specification.

Requests for reasonable adjustments must be made 4 weeks prior to your examination date.

In the first instance, please notify the Examination Officer via email [email protected] before the start of your course. It is the policy of WSET® that students should not be placed at a disadvantage in the assessment(s). Lecture rooms are setup with an induction loop and sound system.

Extenuating Circumstances 

If you are unable to attend your course/and or exam due to extenuating circumstances, please contact the Student Services Team at [email protected] and a form will be sent to you for completion. You will need to provide supporting evidence alongside this form. Once received they will be reviewed, and a decision will be made, and you will be notified.
