As many of you may know, KGIC Inc.’s assets (formerly Loyalist group) are in the process of being acquired by CIBT Education Group.    
 
Please see attached the full CIBT press release from March 16, 2017 and an announcement from Languages Canada explaining the development and the plans for the upcoming months.  
 
“Our language school name will officially be changed to Sprott Shaw Language College (SSLC) and previous Business College programs (KGIBC –CTC and UCCBT) will now be delivered by Sprott Shaw College. Current programs will continue to be delivered under the program structure of each institution, unless otherwise notified. “
 
What does this mean for your active or incoming students?
 
Current Students:

• They are going to become students under the “Sprott Shaw” name.  
• Upon graduation, their certificate will be issued by “Sprott Shaw” institution.  

Future Students:

• In BC: Will be receiving a new Letter of Acceptance from us with “Sprott Shaw” name in the upcoming weeks.
• In Ontario: Will be receiving a new Letter of Acceptance from us with “SEC” name in the upcoming weeks, until name change from SEC to Sprott Shaw has been legally finalized.
• A new DLI number (for students who need study permits, depending on regions will be stated on the new LOA. Kindly see overview of Institutions, names and DLI numbers under the CIBT Umbrella).  

Sprott Shaw College (SSC) is an established and respected institution in Canada and has been in operation since 1903.
 
Business College programs of KGIBC-CTC, UCCBT, VIA Online and PGIC Career College will be added to this website.  https://sprottshaw.com/international-programs/.
 
Language School programs of PGIC, KGIC, and SEC and their respective websites will also undergo a gradual name change and we are in the process of launching a new website www.Studysslc.com soon with all our combined program offerings from ESL, to Test Prep preparation, and specialty courses such as Powerspeaking, Business English, Pathway Programs, Vacation courses, and Summer camps.   
 
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding in the upcoming months as we proceed with restructuring phases and adjusting of our administrative procedures.
 
CIBT Education Group (SSC, SSLC, VIC and GEC (Student housing) divisions) will be attending ICEF Vancouver which takes place April 23-25. We will also be organizing a FAM tour and would appreciate your consideration to join, or simply stop by our booth or make an appointment with us.
