Dear Partners
WikiVisa,
We are sure that like us you are concerned over the outbreak of
Coronavirus in China. We would like to reassure all of our
partners, students, parents, schools and other institutions that
Oxford international are taking every precaution and following
government advice. We are doing all we can to ensure the welfare of
our students and staff and can confirm that there have been no
cases of Coronavirus. We would like to minimise any disruption to
student travel plans during this period and continue service as
normal.
English UK has received reassurance from the Tourism Industry
Emergency Response Group (TIER) that the risk of infection in the
UK is assessed as low, all passengers arriving at UK airports are
screened thoroughly and the National Health Service is prepared to
manage and isolate any suspected cases. Alongside this, the Chinese
government has imposed a travel ban on all group travel internally
and externally out of China for the next three months so we will
not have any students from China on upcoming junior programmes in
the UK or North America. This travel ban is currently in place
until the end of April, at which time it will be reviewed unless
there are dramatic improvements in the situation prior to
this.
We continue to monitor the situation carefully and are following
the advice from Public Health England which is to observe good,
basic hygiene practice to minimise a range of infections, not just
Coronavirus. Everyone in the UK is advised to regularly check the
official Public
Health England website for updates.
We wish to emphasise the UK Government advice, that any student,
parent or visitor who has travelled to or has been in direct
contact with anyone from a Coronavirus affected area to:
- Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you
would with other flu viruses
- Call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the
city
- Avoid having visitors to your home, where
possible
- Avoid using public transport or taxis
- Stay at home for 14 days after arriving from
Wuhan
This advice should be followed even if there are no symptoms
of the virus.
We will continue to monitor the situation and respond to updated
advice from the government, we will notify all of our partners of
any changes.
Kind regards, |

Student Travel: COVID-19
Dear VikiTravel, WikiVisa, BritishSouvenirs, VikiVisa, EducationAdvisor, Sovet-Veterinarov, MoscowAdvisor,
As I'm sure you're aware the spread of the COVID-19 virus is starting to affect travel around the world. Sadly, we have partners who's businesses have already been badly damaged from many of their students cancelling their upcoming Spring and Summer travel.
One way of protecting your business against this is to make sure you have other products and services to offer your students if they do not travel.
We offer agents the opportunity to have their own-branded online English platforms that students can use to practise their English. You can find out more about this at www.angloplatforms.com/agents.
Our platforms are very flexible and can be customised to suit your business and your market. Students have the opportunity to practise their listening, grammar, reading, writing and vocabulary and closely monitor the progress they are making. Plus, if you sell the programme to schools, teachers can closely monitor the progress their students are making.
Once again, to help protect your business against any loss from COVID-19, consider offering an online programme. For more information about our platforms and to request a free proposal for your business, go to www.angloplatforms.com/agents.
Best wishes,
Max
