The Department for Education has this week produced a new set of league tables, which are based on the percentage of students who achieve A Level grades of AAB, including at least two facilitating subjects. This new measure is a means to judge how well schools meet the entry requirements of the top universities in the UK.
51.9% of last year’s Roedean A Level cohort achieved this very high standard, and this figure is all the more impressive when compared to local schools and colleges, including co-ed and girls’ institutions, even when compared with those with a much more highly selective intake.
