A few weeks ago I battled with the green-eyed monster when I met Zoey Haar, a young woman who was part of the founding class of Minerva at KPI. You might remember hearing about Minerva last year– it’s the fully online university taught by ivy league pedigreed professors to students who live together in different global cities each semester.
In our PIE Chat this week, Zoey gives a window in to what’s possible in higher education when you marry cutting edge technology with a global perspective.
In other online learning news, academic credit bearing courses are on offer on UK-based MOOC platform, FutureLearn. They’re the first of their kind for this provider, and while not so different from what’s offered by Coursera, confirm that once-doubted revenue streams for MOOCs are here to stay.
