Following the current international situation surrounding the Coronavirus, we have taken the following decisions in order to best answer your questions and those of your students.
- We have suspended all reservations for students from:
"China (mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao), Singapore, South Korea, or the regions of Lombardy and Venice in Italy", as advised by the French Ministry of Health Solidarity (MSS).
- In the event of an epidemic in our region during a student's stay:
The CIA staff will scrupulously follow the procedures and behavioral guidelines specified by « L’Ametra », French occupational medicine, namely:
"Do not panic until one of the symptoms of the coronavirus has appeared: difficulty breathing, fever or feeling of fever.
If these symptoms develop: DO NOT GO TO THE EMERGENCY SERVICES. You must CALL 15, a person on the phone will make a diagnosis after questioning you and will decide if it is necessary to pick you up. "
Students who test positive will be transported to specialized hospitals in Nice (20 km from Antibes). Our teams will assist these students and will keep you informed of the evolution of their state of health.
- We will apply the following cancellation conditions before students arrive:
If a decree from the French administration prevents the implementation of our program (neutralization of Nice airport included)
- We will fully reimburse the stay minus 80 € management fees.
If a decree from the student's country of origin prohibits leaving their country:
- We will apply our general conditions of sale.

À la suite de la situation Internationale engendrée par le coronavirus, nous avons pris les décisions suivantes afin de répondre au mieux à vos questions et à celles de vos étudiants.
- Nous suspendons toutes réservations pour les étudiants originaires de :

Les étudiants positifs aux tests seront transportés dans les hôpitaux spécialisés à Nice (à 20 km d’Antibes). Nos équipes assisteront bien évidemment ces étudiants et vous tiendrons informés de l’évolution de leur état de santé.
- Nous appliquerons les conditions d’annulation suivantes avant l’arrivée des étudiants :
Si un décret de l’administration française empêche la réalisation de notre programme (neutralisation de l’aéroport de Nice inclus)
- Nous rembourserons totalement le séjour moins 80€ de frais de gestion.
Si un décret provenant du pays d’origine de l’étudiant interdit la sortie de leur pays :
- Nous appliquerons nos conditions générales de ventes.
Nous nous engageons à prendre toutes dispositions nécessaires pour accueillir nos étudiants dans les meilleures conditions et nous ne manquerons pas de vous tenir informés sur l’évolution de la situation.

During these challenging times, I wanted to reach out and inform you of the actions we are taking at Twin regarding COVID-19. We are monitoring the changing situation closely, and we are implementing all the necessary steps to ensure that staff and students are protected. We continue to follow the advice from the NHS in England and the HSE in Ireland.
School closures, postponements, and online lessons
We are following the advice and guidance from the government bodies in our locations. Where the government has required that schools close, we will provide online options that include online lessons, virtual classes, and online resources. Ireland is currently closed and delivering online lessons. The UK schools are open, and our teachers are preparing students to use the online lessons, should that become necessary. Students with future bookings, who wish to postpone their courses may do so. Please contact the Admissions team to make arrangements.
Work Experience Students
We are in communication with our partner companies and monitoring the situation. We are also reaching out to all Work Experience students to provide support and information.
Homestay hosts
Our homestay hosts have been briefed to ensure that they - and our students are safe and supported. In cases where a student decides to return home, we will require seven days’ notice, and the remaining accommodation will be postponed for the student’s future use.
Staying healthy and preventing the spread
We are sharing information with students, staff, homestays and partnered companies on preventing the spread of infection. Twin facilities are cleaned daily, with extra care taken on surfaces. Staff and students are encouraged to wash their hands often and to keep the proposed social distance. Hand sanitiser is available in all schools.
Ongoing support
Our Student Service teams in each school location are available to support students, should they be concerned, or require information on Coronavirus, staying in the UK/Ireland or returning home.
Arriving students
Students will be asked about any travel they undertook in the 14 days before their arrival to at Twin, their current health, and if they have had contact with anyone who displayed COVID-19 symptoms. On a case-by-case assessment, students might not be allowed to come to the school and asked to self-isolate, as per the advice from the health authorities. Unfortunately, students from the high-risk areas cannot be accepted into schools until further notice, and they should defer their bookings. Please speak to the Admissions team so we can process their new dates.
Self-isolation
Any student who is feeling ill should not come to school. If students think they may have COVID-19 symptoms such as a cough, sustained fever, and shortness of breath, they should self-isolate for seven days. Twin Student Services are available to support students who are worried or need to self-isolate, and they will have access to Twin e-learning (TeL) or online lessons where the schools are not operating.
The Coronavirus outbreak is a rapidly changing situation. We will continue to keep you updated and care for our students during this difficult time.
