Glyndwr University fees and accommodation

Accommodation fees 99,50 pounds a week

Student Village, our on-campus residences at Plas Coch Campus, is a perfect blend of quality and affordability which has made it our most popular accommodation.
When these features are combined with its location, across the road from the Edward Llwyd Centre (which contains our library, IT and Student Services departments), it is the ideal accommodation for undergraduates in their first year of study.

• 208 single rooms, divided into 7 blocks
• In the blocks, rooms are in flats of 5/6 and have shared kitchen and dining facilities
• All rooms have en-suite bathrooms including a sink, mirror, shower and toilet
• Wired internet connection points are available in all bedrooms
• There are 8 adapted rooms for less-able bodied students and 2 rooms for carers if required
• Located centrally in Student Village is the accommodation services office. A member of the accommodation team is based here and can provide you with information and help you with any problems.
• All blocks are protected by 24-hour CCTV camera coverage and 24-hour security staff coverage
• Coin-operated laundry facilities can be found opposite Accommodation Services office
• Payphones can be found throughout Student Village and the Plas Coch Campus
• Car Parking is available on campus

Wrexham Village, the new £40 million student housing complex, is managed by Wrexham Village Ltd.
Cost £110.50 pounds per week
This is our newest accommodation with the first block (John Neal) being completed in September 2010 and the second block (Erddig) in September 2011. It is our most luxurious and expensive accommodation so for the extra cost you get stunningly furnished bedroom, kitchen and lounge areas where quality and class come as standard.

• 323 high quality single rooms which are divided into 2 blocks
• In these blocks, rooms are divided into flats (or pods) of 6/7/8 and have large shared kitchen and lounge areas with some of these lounge areas being fitted with a flat screen, Plasma TV
• All of the rooms have En suite bathroom which includes a sink, mirror, shower and toilet
• A limited amount of double rooms are also available
• The Wrexham Village Accommodation Office is located in the John Neal block where a staff member of Wrexham Village Ltd can provide you with information and help you with any problems
• Great emphasis has been placed on safety at Wrexham Village as there is currently widespread CCTV coverage and even more money being invested in additional CCTV cameras
• A swipe card security system is in place for all access to Wrexham Village and there is 24 hour security staff coverage of the site
• Laundry facilities can be found on site
• Limited car parking is available at Wrexham Village with priority being given to those with disabilities or special needs

Additional:
· The above mentioned international student fees cover the Tuition Fee only; they do not include accommodation charges unless expressly stated.
· All international Undergraduate Tuition Fees are frozen for the duration of the degree programme.
· All international Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA students are entitled to a Scholarship Award which is applicable to each year of study. This will be deducted from the Tuition Fee payable.
· Please note that the international Tuition Fees denoted above may be subject to change at the University’s discretion but are not expected to deviate significantly from the values quoted.

Payment Policy:
All international students will be required to make the following arrangements for paying their tuition fees:
· Applicants, who require the issue of a Confirmation of Acceptance to Study (CAS) in order to apply for a visa, must pay their first year’s tuition fees in full (which is calculated as the net fee payable after deduction of the Scholarship Award and Full Fee Payment Award) or provide proof of sponsorship prior to the CAS being issued.
· All Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA Tuition Fees are subject to a minimum payment of £5,000 prior to registration in subsequent years with the balance payable by 31 October in the relevant academic year.
· All international students who pay their Tuition Fee in full by 31 August in the relevant academic year will be eligible for a Full Fee Payment Award of £500 given in the form of a discount off the Tuition Fee. The Full Fee Payment Award is not available on any courses that run for less than 12 months.
· All international students on courses that run for less than 12 months must pay a non-refundable deposit of £1,000 prior to a letter of acceptance being issued. The balance of their Tuition Fees due must be paid in full 21 days prior to the commencement of the course.
· Applicants for Pre-sessional Study Skills with English will be entitled to a £250 discount on their first year’s tuition fees should they subsequently progress to an Undergraduate course at Glyndwr University.

Refund Policy:
· Applicants, who require the issue of a Confirmation of Acceptance to Study (CAS) in order to apply for a visa, and are subsequently refused a visa will receive a full refund of all first year’s tuition fees paid less an administration fee of £1,000 upon receipt of a copy of the Entry Clearance Officer’s report. No refund will be granted if a visa is refused on the grounds of having presented fraudulent documentation.
· Applicants, who require the issue of a Confirmation of Acceptance to Study (CAS) in order to apply for a visa, and subsequently withdraw on or before 31 August in the relevant academic year after being granted a visa will receive a full refund of all first year’s tuition fees paid less an administration fee of £1,000.
· All international students on Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA courses who withdraw on or before 31 October in the relevant academic year will be charged 25% of the Tuition Fee. Any Scholarship Award for the academic year in which the student withdraws will be fully deducted from any refund due to the student. Any Full Fee Payment Award for the academic year in which the student withdraws will be fully deducted from any refund due to the student.
· All international students on Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA courses who withdraw on or before 31 December in the relevant academic year will be charged 50% of the Tuition Fee. Any Scholarship Award for the academic year in which the student withdraws will be fully deducted from any refund due to the student. Any Full Fee Payment Award for the academic year in which the student withdraws will be fully deducted from any refund due to the student.
· All international students on Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA courses who withdraw on or after 1 January in the relevant academic year will receive no refund of the Tuition Fee.
· All international students on courses that run for less than 12 months who withdraw from their courses 14 days prior to the commencement of the course will receive a full refund of their Tuition Fees less the £1,000 non-refundable deposit.

Sanctions for non-payment of Tuition Fees:
All international Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA students who have not paid their Tuition Fees in full by the relevant dates will be:
· Automatically excluded from the University for non-payment of Tuition Fees.
· The UK Home Office (UKVI) will be informed within 28 days of exclusion by the University’s Academic Registry. The student will then be expected to leave the country as the University will no longer be sponsoring them and their visa will no longer be valid.

Accommodation:
· All international students will be guaranteed accommodation on campus at standard rates.
