Контракт на управление учебным центром Rainsbrook Secure в Уорикшире закончился по взаимному согласию, подтвердила сегодня министр тюрем Виктория Аткинс.
Министерство юстиции и поставщик услуг MTC согласились обсудить будущее своего контракта после принятого в июне решения удалить детей из частного молодежного учреждения на фоне опасений Ofsted по поводу безопасности и производительности.
В настоящее время принято обоюдное решение о прекращении действия соглашения, гарантируя, что налогоплательщик не понесет дополнительных затрат.
MTC теперь поддерживает своих сотрудников, работающих в Rainsbrook, в поисках альтернативной работы.
Министр тюрем Виктория Аткинс сказала:
Благополучие детей, находящихся под опекой, является нашим абсолютным приоритетом, поэтому мы немедленно приняли меры, чтобы летом вывести их из Рейнсбрука.
Прекращение действия контракта означает, что теперь мы можем переориентировать наши ресурсы на поддержку этих часто уязвимых детей, ведущих свободный от преступности образ жизни во взрослом возрасте.
С июня 33 молодых правонарушителя, ранее находившихся в Рейнсбруке, были переведены в другое место в молодежном поместье, переведены в тюрьму для взрослых или достигли даты своего освобождения.
Сейчас ведутся работы по определению будущего использования здания. Рассматриваемые варианты включают перепрофилирование сайта для альтернативного использования. Дополнительное объявление об этом будет сделано в свое время.

Spring has sprung and though the evenings and nights are still nippy, the days are bright blue and lovely. The Junior students who have joined us these weeks for a spring course of intensive English or French have been blessed with the weather.
Summer courses
There are a number of different types of summer courses to choose from. The Standard Intensive, available in four different languages (Dutch, English, French and German) combines an intensive language course of 21 hours per week with fun and exciting day and evening activities. Students can choose from an array of activities, tailored to their interests and their hobbies
Students who are looking for a more sporty type of intensive language course can choose from three specialised sports and language courses. These come in three different flavours: golf, horse-riding and tennis. Students on these courses receive professional sports coaching in any of these three disciplines throughout the week (excluding Wednesdays).
Students aged 12 and above also have the opportunity of booking one-to-one lessons to complement their language training. This way, they can work on exam training, a scary oral presentation coming up or any other school work that needs just that little bit more individual attention. The CERAN language trainers can work with, and around, students’ own requirements and needs making the individual lessons both enjoyable and worthwhile.
Summer excursions – 5 countries to discover in 2017!
I am pleased to announce that the schedule for the summer excursions is now available on www.ceran.com both for Belgium and for France. Some of the highlights for this summer include a guided tour of Liège followed by dinner in a typical Liégois restaurant, which are available to the students of French and English, and visits to Bonn and Koblenz for students of German.
Any two weeks’ English course at CERAN JUNIORS BELGIUM will include excursions in at least two different countries (average three). Any three weeks’ course will include excursions in no less than three countries (average four) among Belgium, Germany, France, The Netherlands and Luxembourg.
As usual, we have looked for types of excursions that combine a cultural and/or historical angle as well as enjoyment for students aged 9 to 17. Some excursions, in particular the activity-based outings, take place in the countryside. Other excursions, those taking place in the city, also feature the opportunity to do some (souvenir) shopping. We have also added some new “city games” to the programmes!
CERAN JUNIORS FRANCE | Paris will also offer a combination of brand new excursions and some classics!
As a reminder, all these excursions are included in our prices and commissionable.
CERAN Fam Trip and Visiting in the Summer
How do I sell the CERAN atmosphere or the amazing language lessons our trainers provide day in, day out? Each time agents visit us, they talk about the fantastic atmosphere and solid language lessons. If you would like to come see for yourself, our doors are open!
The CERAN familiarisation trip is organised each year right after ICEF Berlin. Even if you are not based right next door, you could decide to plan the ICEF event with a visit to our fam trip. Did you know that a flight from Berlin to Brussels or Düsseldorf is only about one hour? And we pick you up from either of these airports.
The fam trip is held 1 to 3 November 2017 but if you cannot wait that long or you cannot make it on those exact dates, get in touch with me for a more personalised visit. Take the summer for example: an excellent time to visit both our adult and our junior schools.
